Changes in 2026:
Collection of Intrastat arrivals data for statistical year 2026 ends
Intrastat data collection for arrivals is replaced by export data collected by other EU member states, this data forms the imports of Finland. Starting from the beginning of the statistical year 2026, Finnish Customs will use microdata received from other EU member states in the foreign trade statistics of EU imports of goods. This will reduce the administrative burden on businesses.
Starting from the statistical year 2026, the reporting obligation applies only to EU dispatches, where the threshold for reporting remains unchanged EUR 800 000.
We send letters concerning the termination of the obligation to report arrivals on a company-specific basis. The last statistical declaration for arrivals must be submitted for the period 2025/12. The declaration must be submitted by 16 January 2026. For companies with obligation to report both dispatches and arrivals will continue to report dispatches as usual. In the future, we will define the threshold value for dispatches in such a way that the smallest Finnish companies are exempted from the Intrastat reporting obligation.
This change has an impact on the data content of statistical publications from the statistical year 2026. More information available on the Finnish Customs website The future of Intrastat.
